A Prayer for Strength
A Prayer for Strength
Empty. Drained. Overwhelmed. Life often feels like a marathon where we didn’t sign up. When we try to rely on our own power, we quickly run out of steam. We need God to fill us back up so we can keep going.
When We Need Strength
There are days when the weight of the world feels too heavy to carry alone. Maybe you’re facing a personal struggle, a difficult decision, or just the slow grind of daily life. It is in these moments that our physical and mental resources are depleted. We cannot simply “pull ourselves up by our bootstraps.” Spiritual strength is different from human fortitude. It comes from abiding in Christ. When we admit we are weak, we become strong. This is where true change begins.
Scripture to Lean On
The Bible is full of verses reminding us that our help comes from the Lord. It tells us not to be anxious, but to pray instead. We are also reminded that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. These words are anchors for our souls. They shift our focus from our circumstances to His sufficiency. Focusing on the truth anchors our spirit during the storm.
A Prayer to Pray
Father, I come to You today acknowledging my own limitations and asking for Your supernatural strength. Fill me with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, calming my worried mind. I surrender my burdens to You, knowing You are faithful and able to make me strong. Let Your Holy Spirit empower me to face whatever lies ahead today.
Take a deep breath. Visualize God’s strength filling you up from the top of your head down to your toes.
