When Energy Runs Low

The afternoon slump is real. Energy dips, focus fades, and the rest of the day can feel like a slog. We cannot always change our circumstances, but we can ask God for strength to keep going. He has promised to renew those who hope in Him.

Isaiah 40:31 says, “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Renewal is available. We only need to ask.

Scripture for Strength

The Bible offers strength for the weary. Psalm 46:1 calls God “our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” God does not shame us for being tired. He meets us in our weakness and offers His power.

Take a moment to breathe and let these words sink in before you pray.

An Afternoon Prayer for Energy

Lord, I am running on empty. The afternoon slump has hit and I need Your strength. Renew my energy. Help me to finish this day well. I depend on You, not on my own reserves. Thank You for being my strength. Amen.
